Production log

Week 1
In week one we got the client brief. It stated what we had to do and when it needed to be completed by. (as seen below)

1.       A logo design for the name of the musical project to be used in merchandising and online. This means it would need to be suitable in both colour and black and white and read at different sizes

2.       An image for the Soundcloud page, to incorporate both the logo and the original image. I realise that copyright images will be a problem so heavy digital manipulation based around use of Shrek, Walruses and Ray Sipes should be good. However, it will be just as good to let your students use what they want. Let the music suggest the images!

3.       A second image set at 12cm by 12cm for the CD cover with the title of: Omega Ned

4.       A second design including both logo and visual elements of the cover as the CD face.

5.       A 300mm by 300mm design suitable for T Shirts based around the CD cover, but reduced to flat colour work with colour separations for screen printing

Page Layout:

To include t track details as posted up on the Soundcloud site set in a layout of 12 X 12cm  for the CD. Liner notes to follow!

Thanks for all of this. I would prefer no email contact from students, but you can forward me the first drafts from each student, together with a brief summary of their ideas to be hosted on cloud storage such as drop box. If we can aim to have first draft of ideas ready to be sent to the cloud within the next four weeks, that would be excellent.

And of course, here is the Soundcloud link:

Best wishes

Omega Ned

After reading through the client brief I started to do some research into Omega Ned  but I could not find any information because he's not that well know the only thing I could look at was his soundcloud (the link seen above) to see his taste in music and to see if I could included anything into designing the things that is needed.

Week 2
In week two I started to designing the CD cover I started off by picking an image to use. I picked a photo of Ned Flanders out of the Simpsons as my template for my CD cover. After I had done this I added some righting on to the image I also changed some on the colours in the image.

Week 3
In week 3 I went back to look at my CD cover to see if anything could be improved. I changed the style the of the writing and also the size. The reason I did this was to make the text stand out more and to make it more noticeable.

Week 4
After doing the CD cover I thought of the idea of keeping everything the same. So after I had completed the CD cover I copied it on to every other template. After I finished this everything was done.
